Arts Festival Has a Lot to Offer
So much to see at the Citizens Bank & Trust Lake Wales Arts Festival!
Every year, artists and art lovers gather on the shores of Lake Wailes for a celebration of art and culture. This year is the 48th annual Citizens Bank & Trust Lake Wales Arts Festival. With close to 100 artists and artisans showing and selling their work, as well as competing for over $22,000 in prizes, there is going to be a lot to see. From delicate jewelry to fascinating woodworking, detailed oil paintings to astounding pottery, there will be something fit anyone’s taste and budget.
In addition to browsing the outstanding works of the various artists, you can also grab a bite to eat at any one of a number of food trucks that will be on site. What a lovely afternoon – lunch in the park surrounded by art and live music! There will even be a tent featuring children’s activities to keep little hands busy.
Numerous categories will be judged, including:
· Clay and porcelain
· Drawing and pastels
· Fine crafts
· Graphics and print making
· Mixed media
· Painting (oil and acrylic)
· Painting (watercolors)
So many styles in one place, you’re sure to find something you want to take home!
The best thing about the Citizens Bank & Trust Lake Wales Arts Festival is its central location in Lake Wales. It’s only about an hour’s drive from Tampa or Orlando. Take a break from the big city attractions at this fun community event. You can get to Lake Wales from Sarasota, Vero Beach or Melbourne is less than two hours. This makes a great day trip from anywhere in Central Florida.
